he Rakan or "achieved nirvana" clan are a small clan that are originally descended from buddhist monks. Clan members all specialize in taijustu and believe the mind, body and spirit are one. Neglecting any one can cause disaster. Mediation and inner strength training are just as important to them as training the body. All members start out with one dot marking representing the "body" which is situated between the eyes. As they progress and grow within the clan they earn the other two markings. Next comes the "mind" which is above the body marking and finally the "spirit" marking at the very top when one has achieved "enlightenment". The clan is specifically located in Konohagakure but after the 4th war and peace has been achieved between the shinobi nations, they tentatively make the move to spread out into Iwagakure.
